Terms and Conditions

1. I hereby declare that all information provided in this form is FULL, COMPLETE AND CORRECT to the best of my knowledge. I will inform the organiser before the tournament(s) if I am no longer available.
2. I undertake the HKSPA verification policy. This include:
• For all participants: I undertake to bring my HKID card (passport or birth certificate if I do not have one) to the venue before each tournament for verification. I agree to pay an administrative fee of HK$50 per tournament if I can only show a photo or copy of the HKID card (passport or birth certificate if I do not have one). I am fully aware that I would not be allowed to play if no identification documents are shown before the tournament.
• For student players: I undertake to bring my student card (student handbook if I do not have one) to the venue before each tournament for verification. I agree to pay an administrative fee of HK$50 per tournament if I can only show a photo or copy of the student card (student handbook if I do not have one). I am fully aware that I would be required to pay the non-student entry fee and would not be eligible for the school prizes if no identification documents proving my student identity are shown before the tournament.
3. I understand that an information to participants will be released before the Challenge. I undertake to read the instructions and check for updates and last-minute changes before the event.
4. I agree to participate in all games to which I am assigned during the Challenge. If I am a prizewinner in the Challenge, I further agree to make myself reasonably available for any media interviews or promotional activity conducted for a period of not less than two days thereafter.
5. I agree to abide by the WESPA Rules in during the Challenge.
6. I hereby release and forever discharge, and will, for myself and my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, hold harmless the Hong Kong Scrabble Players Association (HKSPA) and its committee members, officers, agents, and all other persons, firms, corporations or other entities, known or unknown, liable or who might be claimed liable, from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action, losses, injuries, and/or costs of expenses, of whatsoever nature, resulting from or relating to the Challenge and my participation in the Challenge, including, without limitation, travel to and from the Challenge, prizes, time spent at the Challenge and any activities and entertainment associated with the Challenge or any free time personal activities. IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT this is a full and final release of all claims of every nature and kind whatsoever relating to the Challenge and my participation in the Challenge, and releases claims that are known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected.
7. I hereby consent to the use of my name, image (including without limitation, pictures, video images and other reproductions), voice and identity in any promotional activity of HKSPA at the sole discretion of HKSPA, and agree that I am not entitled to any royalty, commission or other compensation in connection therewith.
8. HKSPA may, in its sole and absolute discretion, substitute other prizes having the less or same or greater retail value for any non-monetary prizes offered. I agree to accept any prizes or substitute prizes as are awarded to me, and I agree that the decision of HKSPA regarding such prizes or substitute prizes and the retail value of less or same or greater, shall be final and binding on all parties.
9. I understand the HKSPA Personal Information Collection Statement: The information about you collected by means of this form will be used only for the Challenge and its related events. Information we collect about you will not be disclosed by us to any other party in a form that would identify you except for competition use.
